Refund Policy - PCrisk Trust Badge

Effective date: 1 September 2026 · Last updated: 1 September 2026

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can get your money back for a paid PCrisk Trust Badge subscription. It forms part of our Terms of Service and restates, in one place, the cancellation and refund rights already set out there (clauses 4.1, 4.2, 5 and 6). Where this page and the Terms of Service differ, the Terms of Service prevail. Please read this together with our Privacy Policy.

In short
You are never charged during your 14-day free trial if you cancel before it ends. After that, you have a 30-day money-back guarantee - email us within 30 days of your first charge and we refund everything you have paid, in full, no questions asked. If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you also have a separate statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, which this policy does not limit in any way.

1. Who we are and who charges you

The Trust Badge is provided by RCS LT, UAB, 18 I. Kanto str., 44296 Kaunas, Lithuania, European Union ("RCS LT", "we", "us"). You can contact us at support@pcrisk.com.

Paddle is the merchant of record. Your subscription is sold and billed by Paddle - Paddle.com Market Limited or the Paddle group entity identified for your location at checkout - acting as merchant of record and authorised reseller. Payment, invoicing, tax, refunds and chargebacks are handled by Paddle under the Paddle Buyer Terms, which apply in addition to this policy. In practice this means we authorise your refund and Paddle pays it out. Your payment details are handled by Paddle and never reach RCS LT servers.

2. The three ways to get your money back

Depending on when you act and where you are, one or more of the following applies. You do not have to choose the "right" one - contact us and we will apply whichever is most favourable to you.

RouteWho it is forWhenWhat you get
Cancel during the free trial Everyone Any time in the 14-day trial You are never charged at all
30-day money-back guarantee Every customer, once Within 30 days of your first charge Full refund of everything paid to date
Statutory right of withdrawal Consumers in the EU/EEA Within 14 days of the contract being concluded Refund, subject to clause 5 below

3. Your free trial

New subscriptions include a 14-day free trial that requires a valid payment method on file. If you cancel at any point before the trial ends, the service and badge stop immediately and you are never charged. There is nothing to refund because no payment is taken.

If you do not cancel, the subscription converts automatically to the paid plan you selected and the first charge is taken on the day the trial ends. The date and estimated amount of that first charge are shown to you before you commit, and the binding total is the one confirmed by Paddle at checkout.

4. 30-day money-back guarantee

In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason, email support@pcrisk.com within 30 days of your first charge and we will refund every amount you have paid to date, in full, through Paddle to your original payment method. No questions asked, and you do not need to give a reason.

Because the trial runs for 14 days before the first charge, this guarantee in practice extends to roughly 44 days after you sign up.

The guarantee is available once per customer. Guarantor: RCS LT, UAB, 18 I. Kanto str., 44296 Kaunas, Lithuania. This is a commercial guarantee offered in addition to your statutory rights - it does not limit or replace your 14-day right of withdrawal, or your rights if the service is not as described.

5. Statutory right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you have a statutory right to withdraw from this distance contract within 14 days. Because the Trust Badge is a digital service, the 14-day period runs from the conclusion of the contract - that is, from when you subscribe, not from your first charge.

To withdraw, send any clear statement of your decision to support@pcrisk.com, or contact Paddle through its buyer portal at paddle.net. We acknowledge every withdrawal statement by email, and your withdrawal counts as exercised on the day you send it. You may use the model withdrawal form in Annex A of our Terms of Service; using the form is optional.

5.1 The service starts immediately - your right is not reduced

When you confirm your order you ask us to start the Trust Badge service, including your free trial, immediately; we record that request with its date and time. Starting early does not shorten or remove your 14-day right of withdrawal, and if you withdraw within those 14 days you pay nothing for the service provided in the meantime - we waive any proportionate charge, and because the trial is free no payment has been taken anyway.

This statutory right applies to consumers. If you subscribe in the course of a business, trade or profession, the right of withdrawal does not apply to you - but our 30-day money-back guarantee in clause 4 still does.

6. Cancelling without a refund

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation is self-service, with no lock-in and no cancellation fee, and cancelling is at least as easy as subscribing. We confirm every cancellation by email.

If you cancel a paid subscription outside the windows above, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep full access - including your badge - until that date, and you are not charged again. We do not refund the unused remainder of a billing period that has already started, except where clauses 4 or 5 apply or where the law requires it.

When your subscription ends, the badge stops rendering on your site and your public report page reverts to a standard scan report. This is by design and is not a defect.

7. Renewals and annual plans

Subscriptions auto-renew at the same price until cancelled. Paddle, as merchant of record, emails you a renewal reminder before each renewal and issues a receipt for every payment.

If an annual subscription renews and you did not intend it to, contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge and we will cancel and refund it in full, provided you have not made substantial use of the service in that new term. This is a voluntary commitment and is separate from the once-per-customer guarantee in clause 4.

8. How to request a refund

Use whichever is easier - both reach the same outcome:

We acknowledge every request by email. We aim to make a decision within 3 business days and to authorise qualifying refunds the same day we decide.

9. How refunds are paid

Refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method. Once Paddle processes a refund, the funds typically appear within 3 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer; some issuers take up to a full billing cycle. We cannot speed this up, and neither can Paddle - the remaining delay is on your issuer's side.

Refunds are made in the currency you were charged in. Where your bank applied a currency conversion or a foreign-transaction fee to the original payment, the amount you receive back may differ slightly because of exchange-rate movement between the two dates. That difference is applied by your bank, not by us or Paddle.

Any invoice or receipt is corrected by Paddle, who will issue a credit note where one is required.

10. When we may decline a refund

We may decline a refund request where:

Declining a refund never removes a statutory right you actually hold. If we decline and you believe you have a statutory right, tell us and we will reconsider, and you can also raise it with Paddle.

11. Chargebacks

If something has gone wrong with a payment, please contact us or Paddle first - a refund is almost always faster than a chargeback, and we would rather fix the problem. Raising a chargeback with your bank does not remove your rights under this policy, but it does move the matter to Paddle's dispute process and can suspend the account while it is resolved.

12. The free scanner and the free plan

The website scanner at scanner.pcrisk.com is free to use, and the free monitoring plan available through our WordPress and Shopify integrations is free of charge. Nothing is payable for either, so nothing is refundable. This policy applies only to paid Trust Badge subscriptions.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version in force when you subscribed governs that subscription. Where a change materially reduces your rights, we will tell you in advance by email as described in our Terms of Service, and the change will not apply retroactively to a refund request you have already made.

14. Contact and dispute resolution

Refund questions: support@pcrisk.com. Billing and payment questions can also go to Paddle at paddle.net.

If you are a consumer in the EU and we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you may be entitled to use an alternative dispute resolution body. Consumers in Lithuania may contact the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba) at vvtat.lt. Nothing in this policy affects your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
