PCrisk scans your store from the outside for malware, phishing and blacklisting, across about 90 antivirus engines and 10 threat databases. Once your store passes, shoppers can click the badge and check your live scan report for themselves.

The badge on a storefront. A click opens the store’s live scan report.

Put the badge on every page, or give your home, product, collection and cart pages a spot of their own. You set it all in the app.

Shield, Ribbon, Minimal and Bubble, in three sizes. Pick light or dark, or let the badge follow your theme. Each place can keep its own look.

The badge links to your store’s public scan report on scanner.pcrisk.com, hosted by PCrisk and independent of your store. Shoppers see the evidence, not a static image.
Find PCrisk Trust Badge in the Shopify App Store and click Install. Your store is your account, so there is nothing to sign up for.
The first scan finishes in about five minutes. Your trust score and verdict appear in the app, and we email you if a scan ever flags your store.
Choose Premium in the app and approve it on Shopify’s screen. It starts with a 14-day free trial and is billed on your Shopify invoice.
Pick the pages and the look in the app. One button then opens your theme editor with the badge already switched on, and you press Save.
Malicious code, obfuscated scripts and newly reported threats hidden in your storefront’s HTML, JavaScript and embedded resources.
Checked against global phishing feeds, so you know if your store has been mistaken for a fake-login or fraud page.
Your domain cross-referenced against about 90 security engines and 10 threat databases.
Certificate validity on every scan, so a broken certificate is caught before a shopper sees a browser warning.
Domain reputation, popularity ranking and the health of the sites your store links out to.
Every finding explained without jargon, with a trust score from 0 to 100, refreshed on every scan.
The scan runs on PCrisk’s servers, not your store. On the free plan the app adds nothing to your storefront. On Premium the badge adds two small scripts, about 15 KB in total, that load after the rest of your page and set no cookies.
Security engines sometimes flag legitimate stores: a new domain, a third-party script, a pattern match gone wrong. Most store owners find out the hard way. A shopper says the store will not load. An ad gets disapproved. Or you notice months later that you have been flagged the whole time.
Illustration: a store’s scan report where all 91 security engines and 10 threat databases show green. Then 3 engines and 2 databases turn red, and the consequences follow: a browser warning for shoppers, a disapproved ad, and a shopper saying the store will not load.
On the free plan, a monthly scan emails you if your store is flagged. Premium scans every day and emails you the same day, and the app gives you a ready-to-send re-review request for each engine that flagged your store.
For a store you watch yourself. One scan a month, the result in your Shopify admin.
For stores that want shoppers to see they are safe. 14-day free trial, then billed on your Shopify invoice. Cancel anytime.
Prices in US dollars. Premium is billed by Shopify, so there are no separate payment details.
It is a free plan, not a trial. It does not expire, needs no card, and nothing is charged unless you choose Premium yourself. It gives you one scan of your store a month, your trust score in the app, and an email if a scan flags your store. The badge is part of Premium.
No. The app opens your theme editor with the badge already switched on, and you press Save. The look and the pages you set in the app. If you want the badge in another spot, such as the footer, add the PCrisk Trust Badge block in the theme editor.
Not on Shopify’s own checkout: Shopify only lets apps add badges there on Shopify Plus stores. The closest spots are above the checkout button in the cart, and above or below the Add to cart button on product pages.
Once four things are true: you are on Premium, you have chosen where it shows in the app, the badge is switched on in your theme, and your store has passed a scan with a trust score of 70 or more. The first scan takes about five minutes.
No. Scans run on PCrisk’s servers, not your store, and on the free plan the app adds nothing to your storefront. On Premium the badge adds two small scripts, about 15 KB in total, that load after the rest of your page and set no cookies.
One permission: reading your themes, so the app can check that the badge is switched on. It does not access your customers, orders or products. If you uninstall the app, the badge is removed from your theme and nothing is left behind.
No. PCrisk detects and reports; it does not change anything in your store. If something is found, the app shows what was detected and where, so you or your developer can fix it, and the next scan confirms the fix. If a detection looks wrong, the report includes a dispute path.
PCrisk Trust Badge is a service from RCS LT, UAB, the company behind pcrisk.com, a security research site running since 2010. The scanner behind the app is the same one used by pcrisk.com’s public website scanner.
